Il Bosco fuori aka Last House in The Woods
Produced by SFX maestro Sergio Stivaletti, this is a pretty gory and entertaining Italian horror. Stivaletti is also in charge of the FX makeup and the gore in the movie. Italian audio with hardcoded English subtitles.
It's a quiet evening in the woods. The air is stagnant still, and silence is a living thing that breathes among the trees. A young couple seeks a little solitude. A group of bullies threatens to invade their privacy, when two gentle souls step in to defend the frightened lovers. And all is once again quiet. Except that...."
A new genre offering out of Italy that is destined to spark interest in foreign horror. IL BOSCO FUORI aka THE LAST HOUSE IN THE WOODS, is a throw back to the classic Italian hardcore horror films like HITCH HIKE. First time feature director Gabriele Albanesi is destined to create among the other horror greats.
When young couple Aurora and Rino head out into the woods for a make out session they are interrupted by a vicious gang of thugs. Before all hope runs out, they are seemingly rescued by an older couple, Antonio and Clara. They soon discover they have stepped out of the woods and into the wolves’ den. Finding themselves trapped in the house, they must fight for their lives and escape the sadistic couple.
With references to THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE and an even more obvious box to Wes Craven’s THE LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT, IL BOSCO FUORI is sure to satisfy horror fans. Known horror actress Elisabetta Rocchetti (Argento’s DO YOU LIKE HITCHCOCK?) tears across the screen. With the SFX prepared by maestro Sergio Stivaletti (DEMONS 1 & 2, THE THIRD MOTHER), gorehounds will not be disappointed. Featuring some his most explicit work to date, the blood shed and splatter effects are guaranteed to excite. Exclaims Stivaletti, “I have not never used much blood in a film!”

I know what your thinking, not another 'Last House' knockoff flick. Well get those thoughts out of your head, since other than the title it doesn't borrow anything from Last House on the Left. Actually this is more along the lines of a French version of Texas Chainsaw Massacre, even a character starts hacking away at people with a chainsaw and does a little dance with it.
"But we already have a French version of Texas Chainsaw Massacre, it's called Frontiers."
Well fuck off, this movie was made and came out a year before Frontier(s).
Basically a group of white thugs (hehe) beat up a kid and try to rape his ex-girlfriend when a couple stops and chases the thugs off. The couple then take the two to their house where, basically some shit starts to go down. The girl walks into the couples young sons' room where they see him, the little deformed freak that he is, eating flesh. Soon they are tied and being informed that they will be killed and eaten by the couple, there one deformed son and their two adopted deformed children. Lots of gore, dismemberment and mayhem ensues and ends on a very fucking weird note. Who the hell wants to dance with a quadriplegic child?
Don't let the quality of the pics fool you, the blood doesn't look orange in the movie. Obviously a low budget effort, the acting by the young girl is done fairly well everyone else is pretty typical of a low budget horror flick. I don't openly recommend it since it was decent at best, but if your looking for mildly entertaining gore flick or if you are a "Last House" aficionado like myself then its worth a look.
