Your favorite Slasher

It seems trivial, but there are alot of slashers out there. I kinda doubt everyone's fav is F13th, and because there are soo many it's hard to pidgeon hole people.

My favorite is Maniac, because it's gory, gritty, mean spirited, and didn't have 100 sequels. Plus almost every murder scene in it is legendary.

Well, let's see... It delivers the goods... Blood, Guts, Gore, Tits and Ass all the way through it.

Is it a thought-provoking cerebral journey into the mind of a demented killer?

Fuck no!

Is it an intriguing mystery with tantalizing clues and suspenseful twists and turns?

Nope... No fucking way!

Is it a gory, non-stop gut-spewing blast of good 80's slasher cheese?

You BET!!!!

Do I adore it?

ABSO-FUCKING-LUTELY!!!!!

I love that one too. I'm a big Jason fan so I like a lot of them. I think Hatchet was a great slasher too.

Jason Lives was arguably my all time favorite. Alot of people shit on it for being somewhat toned town, more comedic and somewhat action oriented compared to the earlier entries. However for the very same reasons outside of the movie just being cut to pieces to get an R rating were the reasons why I felt it was a solid slasher.

- Jason having a legitimate adversary
- Best continuity of the series arguably dating back to the story of Part 4
- Jennifer Cooke arguably the hottest Friday chick next to maybe Addriene King
- Cops that were actually involved in the story which hadnt happened in any prior entry
- Kickass soundtrack
- First entry as Zombie Jason

Everything about it reaked of awesomeness.

Sure it isnt even close to being an all time great. However one of the better Fridays and arguably the best made Friday from top to bottom. Tom McLoughlin did a solid job.

Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter

Black Christmas (and I mean the original, not whatever the new one called itself). I'd also say that Peeping Tom puts up a damn good fight for such a title.

Buttt...I'll throw out my second favorite, "Sleepaway Camp".

Also, it's not a top 5...or even top 10...but I figured I'd throw out a title that always entertains me, "Slaughter High". Terribly great!

I also forgot to add in when I mentioned this movie was the fact that outside of the very beginning of the original. This is the next film in the series to actually feature camp kids at the campsite.

Throughout the rest of the series outside of 1 and Jason Lives. It was always vacationers or people who lived in the area or just the counselors getting ready for the kids who were never there.

I felt it added a bit more realism to the movie as well. You didnt know if Jason would eventually go after them. They teased it just enough to make them a legit target for Jason.

i don't care what anyone says but killer klowns from outer space was great, but for slasher pic i have to say the first friday the 13th, if it wasn't for this movie there would be no such thing as the slasher genre:bigthumbup:
