Return of the Living Dead or Day of the Dead

These are 2 of the better zombie films out there and they were both released in 1985. So my question is which of the two do you like most.

I liked ROTLD more, the cast was better, as was the entertainment value. Day is great too, but it just doesn't have the same replay value. Plus I though it was a let down after Dawn's unsurpassed greatness. Underwhelming pretty much sums up my feelings about Day...

ROTLD.

Day of the Dead was great and Rhodes was the highlight of the film but ROTLD had a better all around cast for its time and it was more entertaining. Plus it had alot of classic characters and scenes. On top of all that, a great soundtrack.

You can't beat that funky base line from DyOTD.

I went with Day. Its just the better movie in my opinion. Although Return has great atmosphere and I do dig the tarman. Ending is stupid though.

I could watch Return several times a month and be fine with it. As much as I like Day, I don't think I could watch it very often. RotLD gets my pick.

Both are good in their own right. I like Day better. I ingnore the social commentary.
