J.J's double feature 2001 maniacs/my bloody valentine

2001 maniacs was so cheesetastic i loved it. The south will rise again!! haha Robert englund kicks ass. I wish i saw this sooner, but i always passed it up. The characters were hilarious especialy Hucklebilly. And there is a lot of t & a which i enjoyed. My boyfriend joked that its going to be my new go to movie for boobies. I see that there is a part 2 in the works. I hope its as good as the first.



My bloody valentine. Oh how i love 80's horror. Watched this after 2001 maniacs and it was a fun flick. I wasnt expecting anything great, but i think it delivered. Nothing original really it followed in the footsteps of halloween and friday the 13th. It would be cool if they release this in an uncut version. The miner getup was sweet. The ending was retarted however. I also see that this is being remade by lionsgate. I hope they pull it off and make it more gorey and suspensful. Lionsgate has more misses than hits imo

My Bloody Valentine annoyed me. The slow pacing and restrained kills, copmprmised the film.
The Prowler was a much better version, cooler outfit, more gruesome kills, hotter chicks

2001 Maniacs was mediocre but not awful. Cheesy fun I guess..

I agree the kills in mbv were a little restrained but i've read that the film was cut pretty badly. i'd love to see an uncut verson

I agree The Prowler is my fav but Bloody Valentine was fun. I like the miner and the pick ax. The Prowler is insanely awesome in those army fatigues. Nice review JJ.

I've seen 2001 Maniacs, and that is an awesome movie, especially the horse bit..

..you should check out Herschell Gordon Lewis's 2000 Maniacs, it's just as good.
