Just finished the Blood Stained Shadow. An average giallo with a couple interesting kills but the characters were too unbelievable and the acting a little over the top. Also, hairy armpits on chicks is a no-no in my book.

A Short Night of Glass Dolls

A unique film beautifully shot and an amazing score. The acting is competent and the story is original, while it can be argued that this isnt a traditional giallo it is certainly worth a watch. I also love the ending.

    Little rant.
Will I be ever able to watch "Amuck" in a good enhanced 16:9 or not?
Will I be ever able to watch "Reflections in the Black" (Il vizio ha le calze nere) on dvd?
Willl I be ever able to watch "Giallo a Venezia" in a perfect quality once and for all?
One thing for sure - I will be able to stop that rant. My apologies.

Watched 'The Black Belly of the Tarantula' a couple of days ago. gave Dad four movies to pick two from and this was one of them. We both enjoyed it. I have to admit I picked the killer pretty quickly though, but still a great Giallo.

Watched "Amore e Morte Nel Giardino Degli Dei" 1972 with Erica Blanc
More mystery drama with giallo elements but Blanc made my day again. English subs did not hurt either.

And for the crazy lovers of German giallo sub genre (?) there's The Net (Das Netz) with one and only Klaus Kinski. Elke Sommer and Mel Ferrer as a crazy writer helped me to make a peace with non Italian production.

Gialli are by far my most comfortable-relaxing flicks that I can throw on and nearly always be vastly entertained (with the exception of Footprints).
Fulci , Bava, Lenzi, Argento, Martino are my GODS!!!

I need to view some Giallo soon. I don't remember if I mentioned this here but I got myself a second hand copy/brand new condition copy of Giallo for cheap. I feel I probably will watch this tomorrow....we will see what happens

Maybe I should watch more gialli... The only Italian horror I've really ever seen is Bava, Fulci, and Argento.

I'm a big fan of gialli.

I'd highly recommend Sergio Bergonzelli's 1970 giallo In the Folds of the Flesh (Nelle pieghe della carne) as something a bit different to watch from the genre.
