Both of them were quality films. I would probably lean towards Lost boys though as it was the first horror film i owned.

Now, since toxic brought it up, best werewolf film is an interesting thought. A bit harder to pick than vamp films.

Honestly, watch Fright Night. Much better way to spend an evening than buying some recent stuff like "the Ruins".Near Dark FTW!

They're both fine additions to the vampire film cannon, but I prefer Fright Night. There have been times when I've literally watched it 3 times in a row. Can't do that with The Lost Boys.
