In the midst of all the PG-13 action movies and horror crap that is coming out of hollywood, one R rated movie stands high in this summer full of blockbuster hits and that film would be wanted.
Before I went into the theatre tonight, I was hyped up by how good people were saying that it is, which when it all ended I kind let it get to my head. See it's about this guy name Wesley Gibson, who was abandoned by his father when he was 7. One day at the drugstore a woman comes up to him and tells him that his father has been killed. It turns out that his father was an assassin for a group of people called the Fraternity and he is now the target of the man who killed his father.
Let me first say that this is a great film. The stunts were awesome, great car chases, and every element that an action film is supposed to have, comedy, drama, and twists. I really wanted to like the film more, but I couldn't, mostly do to the fact that I did go in expecting more than what I came out with, and also do to pacing(why do they do this to us) but it was a great film.
So I gave this film a 7 out of 10, for the reasons that I have explained above and for the fact that some of the pacing was made up by James McCovoy's comedy sequences and we did get to see Angelina, she has a nice ass:bigthumbup: So I would check out this and "Shoot'em up" even if you want more action, which I would recommend.
