Watch Parts 2 through 4 again.

He chased a great many people.

I think their doing what their doing simply because they want him to be more like what the character was in parts two through four. He wasnt slow, he was more of a chaser and menacing. It wasnt until Jason Lives (Part 6) that he became the slow, methodical Jason and not until Part 8 when he became a teleporting god.

Teleporting god LMFAO!! That was great. But yeah I wasn't to excited for this movie when i heard there was another one being made. I've never been a huge Jason fan mainly because I've always been shown the later sequels by my parents and never the earlier ones, I dont know why, but after seeing that crappy quality trailer, I'm pretty pumped for this film! Jason always bored me because I've only seen the ones where he's the big slow zombie guy and shit and never the human scary Jason. I'm definitely going to Blockbuster right now and picking up the old ones for real! I want to get into this franchise just never could. I'll definitely be seeing this remake I enjoyed the Michael Bays remake of TCM and this seems like its filmed the same way and I like the raw dirty feel to the films. Should fucking rock!

I liked Jason better in zombie form, but the earlier movies were better. Now if he was a zombie in those then I'd be pretty happy.

Although Jason looks really cool running, it is just not Jason. Just replace the hockey mask with Leatherface's mask and there you go ... there's your character. Still looks cool though and the trailer doesn't look bad at all.

I agree remakes do suck but if they are going to continue making them which they are might as well judge it for what you think it is. See it for yourself and decide if you like it or not. Not you steel but people in general. I myself just pray they pull this one off. Not getting my hopes up but i will see this when it comes out.

He ran in part 4...one of the things I always like about that movie.

Its wierd how many people would prefer the more polarized popular zombie Jason than the one that argueably was in the best films in the series in two through four with the more human Jason that grunted, ran and took punishment.

Maybe its a cartoon effect. Seeing Jason run after seeing him lumber for 6 movies including Freddy vs. Jason has people thinking he will look stupid or weaker if he chased his victims.

To each is own. The now defunct NewLine and Paramount along with Platinum Dunes at the very least seem to be going back to what the character was in the earlier entries and for me thats enough so far.

A lot of people who say that the running Jason isn't Jason probably have always known zombie Jason. Granted, I'm not old enough to have been around when Zombie Jason didn't exist, but I think running Jason is a lot scarier.

I'm really not excited for this remake just because I think the Holy Trinity of slasher films (Halloween, Friday the 13th, Nightmare On Elm Street) should've been left alone with no remaking. I'll probably check it out regardless.
