This to me is the coolest news of the day, which is why I saved it for last, Keanu Reeves is rumored to play Spike for COWBOY BEBOP, which in my opinion is the perfect guy for this roll, and if you have seen COWBOY BEBOP, one of the greatese Anime alive, then you can't disagree.:bigthumbup:

Bay: Show Will Go On Without LeBeouf

Director Michael Bay has disputed reports that production of his latest Transformers sequel has been put in mothballs until its star recovers from a recent auto accident. Writing on the film's website, the veteran director blasted reports that he had planned to put the production into hiatus at a cost of some $200,000 per day while Shia LaBeouf recovered from injuries to his hand and knee. (The hand injury required surgery.) "The car crash with Shia is unexpected, but we are still filming" Bay said on the film's website. "The movie has not shut down -- there is plenty to do without Shia. The shooting is also going great -- I'm having a blast making this movie! Shia will be back soon and we all wish him a fast recovery."

Just because Nolan may not do another Batman doesn't mean it wont get done, even if Bale or others wouldn't reprise their roles. Unfortunately the powers that be will make it happen no matter what. Movie has been out for 2-3 weeks and already half way to Titanic's record. In this industry money talks, dont get me wrong I hope IF they do another, Nolan will be back to wrap up a successful trilogy.

WB owns DC, so its not like they have to keep using Batman over and over again. I expect WB to do the respectable thing and let it die if Nolan doesn't want to come back. TDKR can be done right after this, so there's their next Batman movie. Its time for them to move on anyway. Green Lantern, Flash, Wonder Woman, all projects they could be working on.

There isn't a necessity for another film. This one ended with Batman doing the greatest thing he's ever done. Nolan wasn't considering doing one after Batman Begins. The Joker card wasn't his setup or anything. Frank Miller ended Year One by mentioning the Joker and he didn't write a sequel to that. In fact, no one did for 20 years.

UK, August 1, 2008 - Speculation on the villains for the next Batman film is coming thick and fast, with the U.K.'s Daily Telegraph throwing two new stars into the mix.

The paper, quoting "unnamed sources," says that Warner Bros. have targeted Johnny Depp to play The Riddler, and Philip Seymour Hoffman to take the role of The Penguin.

According to their source: "Producers are convinced that the role of The Riddler is perfect for Depp. Johnny's a pro. He'll be able to take direction and still make the character his own. And what better Penguin is there than Philip Seymour Hoffman?"
