The thing... love the solider aspect but i find smart characters to be more compelling and for the most part thats exactly what you get with the cast from the thing... no moments where your screaming for them to not open the door.

If only they could've made a good AvP film or better yet. Enough with that shit and just give us a good Predator 3. The first two were tremendous.
Course it wouldnt be the same but maybe they would try alittle harder. Only thing is you cant trust any filmmaker out there that claims to be a 'fan' of a series because that means nothing. As they usually butcher the basic concept with their own ideas.

That's the thing. Think I'd rather toss back some beers with a bunch of Colonial Marines than some Arctic outpost crew (MacReady excepted).
