I always wanted to see this movie, it looks fun. Is it serious or half comedy and is there alot of blood/gore?

If I get alot of positive replies here I'm going to try and get my hands on this movie.

I remember the movie being okay. Pretty boring, but it had a decent ending. Nothing I'd really recommend watching though.

It's ok, nothing great, its a mix of comedy and horror, not overly gory if memory serves, worth watching as its kind of got historical importance for the genre, last i heard the remake was shelved after Bob Clark and his son sadly passed away.

For myself it's a guilty pleasure. The acting is very over the top and cheesy. The gore fx are basically red paint and ketchup. Some of the zombies are decent, while others are just crap. All that being said, I really like it. The last fifteen minutes are unexpected and actually gave me nightmares as a kid.
