Well of course there's going to be a sequel, the first went over really well with audiences. I would like to see another Strangers. It'll be interesting to see what they do with it.

Sequel is heard to be about the Stranger besieging a family this time. But Liv isn't up for it:

Speaking to Shock Till You Drop, the actress and star of the first film explained that audiences probably won't see her on the big screen, should the follow-up ever get off the ground.

"It's strange. I've read the script. It's been around the whole time, but I don't know how real it is. Bryan isn't directing it, I don't know what's happened with it. I didn't love the idea personally, but Bryan's such a good writer. He had another project that I was obsessed with and fell in love with and kept trying to convince them to not do THE STRANGERS 2 but 'Let's go straight into this thing and it can be 'From the Makers of...' 'cause it was such a great, also simple story but absolutely terrifying. Someone else has that now and they've actually changed it quite a bit. Who knows? Hollywood is so confusing."

I liked the strangers. The sequel just sounds stupid and pointless.

I'd really have liked to have seen the first one play out the way it was originally planned but I thought Bryan did a great job. Hopefully his script for the second remains intact, whatever that might be.

I went into viewing this DVD with high hopes but something about it really irrated the shit out of me. I remember this feeling was quite strong so doubt I will give it another watch anytime soon.

Agreed. I thought it was boring and no real horror feelings at all. I streamed it. I didn't see the praise so I bought it thinking maybe it was the stream. I watched and the feelings I had for this film got stronger so I gave my copy to someone. These are just my opinions. Those that love it...cool.
