Yay for Rawhead Rex! Thought I was the only fan of this. Terrified me when I was little. Are you referring to the scene with the priest?

The Beast Within looks to be a good movie.. I tried to watch it, but was having trouble with my player. The opening scene is really good, though.. has Ronny Cox from Robocop and some stellar makeup fx. Written by Tom Holland (Fright Night, Child's Play) and directed by Phillipe Mora (Howling II & III, Communion).

Very strange movie but with some great makeup effects. Actually seen this in the theater when I was 7 or 8 years old

It'd be a lot easier to just list those that I had seen.

Scrolling through the Netflix interface just doesn't have the same appeal. Same thing when I started collecting laserdiscs. Going to the video store and browsing for hours, looking at covers, even if I didn't buy anything there was still something satisfying about the experience in the hunter-gatherer context.

Brings back a lot of memories for sure. Summer of '88 I went almost every day down that road of perpetual browsing... usually grabbed a tape or two to watch that night... often ordering a pizza or had a cherry coke and Dorito fest. It was a collection of feel good memory experiences... back when the world seemd to make a little more sense.

I still do that for Vinyl's/CD's. I have purchased so much music based off the artwork alone, it's ridiculous. Films growing up were a treat to watch based off reading the description in the back and looking at some of the pictures. Future generations will only get that off Netflix, but won't have the satisfaction of walking through various aisles of a video store and having something POP out at you. I'm only 26, but I still remember the days of the video store

The local video store was my second home when I was growing up. Those were the days.

This is how I came to own the soundtrack to Heavy Metal when I was ten years old. It was the first time I ever got to pick out my own music and that cover spoke to me.

    yep

    The Solo disliked rewinding.

Found that it paid often enough having a buddy working the store.
