New season started up this week and I finally caught it earlier. Originally I was going to stop watching the series after being incredibly disappointed with the last season, however, I thought I'd at least give the first couple eps a chance, and to my surprise, I enjoyed it.
The writing seems more on track and the characters aren't entirely focused on relationships (not as much so far anyway) and quirky/stupid situations. I remember in the first episode of the last season Izzy saved a deer or some crap, which I found ridiculous and a waste of time. The rest of the season was just a bunch of the same-old relationship nonsense and dumb situations.
Anyway, I hear since the actress that plays Izzy expressed how she didn't like the writing job last season that the writers have some interesting stuff in stored for her character later on, so I'm looking forward to that. All-in-all, I'm still somewhat bored with the situation between lame-ass Meredith and McDreamy, but luckily they're not the entire focus so far. I'm hoping it stays that way, because at this point I could care less.
I'm more interested in the two lezzies, and this thing the young Grey is feeling towards George. It was nice seeing Kevin McKidd as the guest star and I'm hoping he shows up more later in the season. It seems likely since he and whackass Yang might have something going there.
