    The Horrors of Halloween

Throughout the years I have notice a serious decline of horror movies being released around Halloween. Even more shocking is the lower amount of these movies being played during this period. With the classic writers getting older it leaves all the horror movies to be created by new and upcoming directors. Personally I don't think there is anyone out right now that knows the true nature of horror like some of those from the past which is a shame. That was one of the great things about Halloween which always intrigued me the misery and the fear of everything. Yet the holiday has become far to commercial for its own good and lost site of what it once was. The time the kids can be out has been lowered and then lowered again which lowers the fear factor of the holiday.

Horror can come out at anytime imo, it doesn't have to be released on 'free candy day'. Another reason why nobody releases horror in October is Saw. That franchise kills everything at the box office, so studios try to wait until after the 31..
As for people being afraid of Halloween, that hasn't happened in your lifetime. Unless you're 700 years old. Kids view Halloween as a time to get a bunch of free candy, and adults use it as an excuse to party.

I can remember back when I was a kid the one thing I always looked forward to was the late night candy raids. There was far more time to get as many houses in the entire town. Sense I only live in a town of 5000 that was much easier then for most but still a tasking chore. Then there was the fear factor of being out later running wild through the streets. All of this was before alot of parents started following there kids around town. So there was alot more freedom and an element of suspense these kids will never know.

To answer your next question I was born March 29, 1984 and are 24 years old.
