The Sandlot

Caught a little bit of this on TV earlier and remembered how great of a movie it was and still is. This is probably one of the better kid-aimed films to come out of the 90's and is one of my personal favs. I know myself and countless other kids around the time that had seen the movie a handful of times and never got tired of it.

I was never really into sports, but the film offered great characters, a good script, and a lot of fun situations to make an overall entertaining movie. I checked IMDB and saw that a few of the actors are still doin' films and what-not, but a majority of'em only did a couple more things in the biz before they fizzled away. The film apparently spawned two sequels, which I have no seen, but from the looks of'em, I'm not missing out on much.

I liked the Sandlot, it is an above average kids/family flick.
If I remember right the sequels are terrible, but the doesn't matter because the 1st is great :nod:

Love it. One of those movies I grew up on. I always try to catch it when it's on ABC Family.

The sequels were crap or least the first sequel was and I never bothered with the second.

Little Giants was built in the same mold but its somewhat different.

Moranis and Ed O Neil were great in that.

Yeah, it's weird going back to these old movies and noticing actors you never noticed before, because you were young.

The other day I was watching a little of Adams Family Values and noticing all these familiar actors in supporting roles

Great kids movie! Had a lot of memorable characters and scenes. I have no interest to see the sequels, especially since it's brought back with a fresh new bunch of kids from this generation. Wonder why I haven't picked this up on DVD yet?

That`s by far the most memorable line for me, but I still find the pool scene more memorable.

Yeah that was classic how squints got Wendy to kiss him and even better how he grew up marrying her.

I love this flick...

I always liked how they first portrayed the Beast as this Cujo-like monster dog and as the film progresses it becomes a more and more normal dog... nicely done.

The Forever line is good... But I still find myself sayin' some of the lines still...

And always liked the scene with the sandlot boys Vs. The other kids
