Well as you may know, when a movie is successful another is not too far away. One year after the cliched blockbuster hit, the sequel came about, this time written by Ehren Kruger, which bring a more serious tone to this movie.
In this flick we follow the lead characters from the first film, Julie and Ray, as they are getting over what happened a year ago and trying to start new lives. When Julie's friend wins a trip to the Bahama's, she goes along, then things start to get weird as she starts seeing dead bodies and strange things begin to happen to she and her friends.
Well this isn't as cliched as the first, original and good for a sequel. As you know these are the standard rules for a sequel, more gore, more sex, more drugs, and more nudity. Now that is not the case here, and wasn't the case in the first, which is what I like most about this flick, it doesn't have to have a lot to entertain you, like the original.
Now I think the twist was semi-mediocre, and I like some of the deaths and the suspense is very high as we do get some very tense filled scenes. So in my opinion this is better than the original, but still on the same bases, which is why I give this a 7.
