I would love to see a remake of the movie Ghost Story from the early 1980's. I always thought "Ghost Story" by Peter Straub was one of the scariest books I ever read, and it was turned it to one of the worst movies I ever saw. There is great material there for someone who is willing to follow the book.

A long time a go i came across this movies called dementia(1955) black and white no sound.. Ed McMahon is the narrator(lol) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0047976/ i dunno it would be an interesting remake if they pulled it off right. I could see Angelina Jolie in the lead Actually i'd like to see a few of the more obscure 50s horror remade for my own gulity pleasure. Maybe i'll do it myslef lol kidding

If the original film had a great idea but was poorly executed I don't mind a remake - but when there is nothing wrong with the original film, I do have a problem with it. Obscure movies from the fifties through the eighties are welcome to be remade, but lets stay away from the classics.

That's my point. That and more nudity, of course.

I wouldn't mind a Boogens remake. I waited until the last 5 minutes to see those creatures and was only mildly amused. More Boogens with maybe some kind of explanation as to what they are, gorier killings, and characters that can better carry a movie if the Boogens are going to be a exposed gradually, as in periodically throughout the film as opposed to at the very end. But who am I kidding? It would probably still suck anyway!

I agree with some people, they should remake the Resident Evil movie. I wouldn't mind them taking a stab at Romero's script. But since I've seen the terrible Diary of the Dead, I don't know anymore. But it wouldn't hurt them to try I guess.

    Cool

Not really a horror movie but i just saw this yesterday, The 'Burbs. It was funny as hell, and I think it would be a great remake if they just find the right director.

Not too crazy about remakes, can we say originality---come on Hollywood!!

I heard they were remaking Pet Semetery, which it just totally nuts...nobody could beat Fred "the Munsters" Gwynn in that flick.

But if I had to pick, I would take the classic haunted house movie Burnt Offerings....never can get enough haunted house movies...

BTW, I think much of the 80s slasher movies were cheap ripoffs of 2 films, Halloween and Friday the 13th----

    my 2 cents
