Night of the Living Dead director George Romero is beginning production on another as-yet-untitled thriller film, again involving the undead, Variety reported.
Romero's most recent film was Diary of the Dead, the latest chapter in his zombie franchise.
Romero wrote the new film and began shooting this week in Ontario.
The plot involves inhabitants of an isolated island off the North American coast who find their relatives rising from the dead to eat their kin. The leaders of the island feud over whether to kill their reanimated relatives or preserve them in hopes of finding a cure.
The cast includes Alan Van Sprang, Kenneth Welsh, Kathleen Munroe, Devon Bostick, Richard Fitzpatrick, Stefano Colacitti and Athena Karkanis.
Sounds interesting, new small scale take on zombies that could be fun. But after Diary of the Dead I'm not so sure about Romero.
