Really wish, with all the hype zombie films are getting these days, Romero would redo Day with his original script. I've read the original script about a dozen times and it keeps getting better every time.

I enjoyed Diary and thought it was slightly better than Land say for the acting which kinda hurt because of the style of movie which Diary was made to be.
I'd watch another movie but I think going forward its obvious if it wasn't before that no matter a big budget studio helming the project or a low budget affair.
The overall magic of the first 3 films wont be there and thats that IMO. They'll be decent/good enough, but not innocent enough to conjure the epicness that Night, Dawn and Day had.
All of them had flourishing characters. The two newest films have ok characters at best.

Romero has his work cut out for him. His last two movies were big flops in my book... I still think Land of the Dead was a tad more satisfying than Day of the Dead... but that's not saying much.
The whole zombie genre is undergoing a change and Romero just isn't keeping up. People want running, screeching zombies apparently and intense firefights. Romero's movies just don't seem to offer any of that.
Personally I tend to agree... I'd rather see a intense zombie flick than a thinly veiled political satire. (Which Romero seems inclined to do all the time)

Was anyone else a little disappointed that Land of the Dead wasn't called Teatime of the Dead? And then diary could've been called Early Evening of the Dead...
It's just me isn't it?
Now available with realistic hand movement!

Land remains to be one of the most horrible films I've seen... maybe I feel this way because I really look up to the guy, but boy was that an awful film. I've yet to see Diary, I'm in no rush to see it, but I will eventually... as with any film by Romero.

Fright Master is right. After Diary, I don't even think he has it in him to make another one. I mean, I think Diary went down hill cause of his separation from his wife, but that's only my guess. Who knows, maybe he should just leave the genre be and let the newer zombie movies ruin what was once a good genre.
