This is my all time favorite horror movie of all time and one of the best demon movies in my honest opinion and hopefully I'll get the DVD by Christmas, if not I'll pitch a stop at my local FYE or Best Buy, because this movie is worth every dollar. I remember when I was about 9 or so, the times I really got into horror movies, and I went by this little treasure at blockbuster and I so totally regret I never gave it a check because then it would've left me scared for like ever, but now I have (on youtube, sorry!) and am here to give a nice review on this terror-ific movie!
The plot is pretty brief, Angela Franklin, the weirdest girl who ever lived even I wouldn't date her, has invited 10 teenagers to an old abandoned funeral parlor called "Hull House" for a Halloween party and to play a few games that could awaken spirits of the dead in a very pissed off way. Hmmm, sure they don't mean "Hell House"? Because when Angela does a seance with everyone involved, a demon spirit that can only come out on Halloween night arises and starts possessing one-by-one of the teens, having the ones possessed become homicidal freaks and killing off one another and possessing them too. Making a horde of demon zombies means this demon wants to really raise the roof. Now only two teenagers are left and are not just trapped in the house but also outside where a large stone wall had demonically appeared. Will this be their last Halloween?
I so regret never seeing this movie until now, especially with its animated opening and music, I love 80s horror classics that do that, especially when they can afford for such a thing or if the director has connections but anyway...I loved how the dialouge and lines they made were pure original and were absolutely hilarious, lines I couldn't even beat! The makeup and special effects were awesome, just the type of things I love about making movies and having fun with creature stuff. I will tell you, this movie was very scary in my honest opinion, lots of scenes I couldn't watch alone at night because of sounds, looks and scares combined. The gore is quite lovely, who am I kidding, it was fantasic too! Yes, there's plenty of T & A to go around, especially with one girl who makes the amazing "disappearing" lipstick trick with it that made it look painful but creepy and good nonetheless! And it has my favorite element to its story where it celebrates Halloween, my FAVORITE holiday!
OVERALL
The greatest demon movie ever made, with Halloween aspects to it! They should start making Angela costumes and masks. The lines in it were great, the acting was good, the makeup and special effects are cheesy but great, the gore's great, and the story's brief but great, and it was really truely deeply scary! A true horror classic everyone should own, if not I'll take a sicle and shove it up your--!?!!#$. Sorry, got carried away, but for good reason! Deffinately recommended.
10/10 (No matter if my rating's too high, I loved this movie!)
