    Macabre

So I watched this 2 days ago and am still thinking about this movie. When I looked at it I thought it was a typical giallo...man was I wrong.

There wasnt much "mystery" you can probably figure everything out within the first 20 mins, but it is so absurd you almost cannot believe it.

It's an early film from Lamberto Bava, the great Mario Bava's son. Lamberto went on to make the great Demons films with Dario Argento backing him. Both Mario's and Dario's influences can be seen in Macabre.

For those that saw the flick my question is this:
What did you think of the ending...like the last 30 seconds of it?

I personally loved it...without those 30 seconds I would have given it a 5...but with that end it jumped up to a 7.

To start off, this movie isn't a giallo.

Anyway, I thought it was alright until the ending. It turned a decent, fairly straight forward movie into a joke. I hated the ending.

I think the ending turned what would have otherwise been a routine and predictable film into something shocking and fun. I mean, within the first half hour you can figure out what's going on. It at least explains why she was "enjoying" herself so much throughout the film.
But it is not a giallo.

did I say it was a giallo?

I thought by looking at the cover it was...but i was wrong...pretty sure I wrote that up there

    Edit:
I agree with Ladyfrank, I thought the movie was bland and predictable...the ending proved me entirely wrong. It added that "fun" that was mostly missing from the movie.
