So I watched this 2 days ago and am still thinking about this movie. When I looked at it I thought it was a typical giallo...man was I wrong.
There wasnt much "mystery" you can probably figure everything out within the first 20 mins, but it is so absurd you almost cannot believe it.
It's an early film from Lamberto Bava, the great Mario Bava's son. Lamberto went on to make the great Demons films with Dario Argento backing him. Both Mario's and Dario's influences can be seen in Macabre.
For those that saw the flick my question is this:
What did you think of the ending...like the last 30 seconds of it?
I personally loved it...without those 30 seconds I would have given it a 5...but with that end it jumped up to a 7.
