I used to have dreams of zombie attacks on my home town. I refer to them as dreams and not nightmares because I loved killing zombies, and will continue to love it if there ever is a WWZ.

I, too, like my zombies to be serious. I also agree with your "rules", Scrilla. One of the only exceptions for me is that I can deal with seeing a small level of deduction. An example being: before a person becomes a zombie, maybe they were a mechanic, and a victim comes past their garage....you see the zombie fumbling around there as if to almost "think" to themselves "I know I'm supposed to be here doing something, but what?....duh....huh?" Once they pick up on fresh meat, any tiny shred of intelligence is gone in pursuit.
I can also get into the zombies being fast if it's in the right context, as in Dawn of the Dead. It just has to feel right and look good.

Not even joking, I just spent about 20 minutes hashing out a reply to Jenn and Koolmike. Then hit the god damn back button on my mouse and erased all my hard work. Son of a bitch, I wish there was a slow unthinking zombie that I could sink my hammer in to.

I'm up for any type of zombie movie. It all depends on what type of mood I'm in. My favorite serious zombie movie is Day of the Dead and my favorite "zomedy" besides Shaun is Return of the Living Dead. They're two different genres so you can't really complain when put in a zomedy and expect the "norm".

I could tolerate any type of zombie movie, since some movies have been really creative with the subgenre. I'm just happy to see it back after have a long hiatus.

zombies are terrifying when they can run as fast as you can. i always made fun of the movies where the zombies were just bumbling around and the people had time to stop for a cup of tea and all that shit before the zombies finally got to them.
to me the only movies that i really find amusing are the zombie comedies (shaun, dead and breakfast, fido, etc) as long as the gore is good i will take a gander
i get an f for failure to proof read everything
throw up those goats!!!
i broke up with myspace, it was suffocating me. but i am an addict and now i am back

I've been thinking. I would rather go up against 28 days later rage zombies than the traditional slow moving walking dead. If you think about it, it is a better chance in the long run. Slow moving undead zombies continue their rampage for years. Where as rage virus zombies spread fast, and die fast. You don't need to just take out their brain. After 2 weeks or so ( if I remember right ) they die without a food source. So after their initial food source is gone, they begin to die off. I think I should go out into the wilderness and build myself a cabin like Dick Proenneke. Except mine would have a pillbox on the top so I could defend myself against those damn zombies. The way I see it is, the farther you get away from civilization, the better. I still think that zombies hunt by smell and are less reliant on sight. Therefor being in the wilderness far from civilization could increase your chances for survival substantially. Just have a little 2 month vacation in the forest and come back to a deserted town, yay.

What if they become more rabid and start feeding off each other?

Sup mike.
In 28 days later the infected wont feed off the infected for whatever reason. Cannibals with taste I suppose. But either way, 2 weeks after ANY food is exhausted, THEN they start to die off. The only hard part would be to get out of that town and fast. In 28 days later, if they stayed at Hamishes house for like, how many days did they travel then stay at the bunker, 3? Then however long the time was after they left. They would have been fine, and that place was damn impenetrable. Goes to show you, when zombies breach into reality. You gotta have a game plan.
On another note, I'm watching The Signal as I write my script. I was first thinking that this movie was gonna be like a rage zombie kind of thing. This is kind of original for me though. It's not exactly my cup of tea, but so far 6/10 for spraying someone in the face with exterminating chemicals.

So I just finished watching signal. First bit was fun, 2nd chunk was odd, yet fun. 3'rd It felt like they were trying to confuse me, then I thought I had figured it out. Then they confused me , yet again. Then I caught onto their mind games and become angry with the movie. It felt like they poured all of M Night Shmagmalons twists into 20 minutes of bore. This movie needed to increase its cannibalism from 0 to at least a 3 for me to be happy with it. I give this 5/10.
If I were to rate by each section.
