I just got back from watchin this in 3D, good film overall, I can certainly agree with FrighT about the 80's feel to the film, especially in the beginning of the film. As far as surpassing the original, I think as far as gore; yes. Otherwise, I think I pretty much like both films equally. I'll be adding this to my collection when it come out on DVD. :thumbup3:

    Spoiler...
You guys didn't miss much. All it basically was the killer in his mining outfit walking through the tunnel. When he comes closer into picture, he stares into the screen, tilts his head, and swings the pick-axe towards the audience. That's pretty much it.

Yeah. Now that I think about it dude, I was confused with that. They must have trimmed that scene down or something and didn't notice it.

3D was pretty cool--only a handful of the theatres, here, had that version--but without it I would've been pissed dropping the eight bucks and change for the ticket.

The pick-axe to eyeball by-way-of-the-back-of-the-skull at the start was a nice touch. def. set the tone and let the audience know what to expect.

Pretty solid slasher for a mainstream flick, decent gore. 3-D made it better, without that it's nothing we have not seen before. Pretty predictable and the ending was kinda weak but like I said 3-D saved it

The title of the movie is My Bloody Valentine 3D... how do they not have it? Wouldn't it cost a lot more money to have filmed two different versions and sent them out to theaters?

Thought it was a very fun movie. One of the more enjoyable movie experiences in the past couple years. The 3D was easily the best I have seen, using the foreground and background simultaneously in 3D was a stroke of pure genius, I couldn't even imagine the work that went into this film.

Not entirely sure on the current process, but it's essentially shooting the same scene, at the same time, with different cameras.

Bottom line is, you're not filming anything twice.

Cool ass movie....liked everything about it. Ending was predictable..but not complaining. Jensen Ackles and Tom Atkins :thumbup3: like them alot. The 3D was greatness. Awesome night.

Saw it last night, great movie...but like everyone says the ending was poop. I loved the 3D, and it had a great 80s cheese feel. I don't know if id want to watch a 2d version since ive seen the 3d though

I loved the movie. I pissed my friend off though because I called who the killer was and why during the scene when a person got trapped in the cage.
