After looking at part one, I decided to do a review on part two.
In this film we actually focus on the title of both films, KILL BILL, but is she going to do it this time around. Now in this film we follow the main character from the first film, the woman with the unknown name, who, in this film, is known as Beatrice Kiddo a.k.a. the Bride. She now sets out on her journey to kill Bill's brother, Budd, and her one eyed nemisis, Elle Driver a.k.a the Mountain Snake, and her lover Bill a.k.a the Snake Charmer. We also go into how Beatrice knows all that she knows, far as sword fighting and Kung Fu, I guess that's what it is.
Now unlike the first, this film has no over the top action scenes or intense fighting, which we do see a very nice scene where Beatrice and Elle fight, revealing to us a secret that made Beatrice rip her eye out, sweet:bigthumbup:.
What I liked about the film was that it took more time on characterization than the first, giving us some very interesting characters to follow. I also liked how the twist was revealed in the first film instead of in this one, which shows you just how smart and cunning of a villain Bill really is.
So there you have it. I say that this film is better than the first, but not too far ahead of it. I think it should have kept some of the thrill the first had, but still this is a great film by a great director, so I give it a 9(1/2).
