Mitch Mitchell, drummer and last surviving member of the Jimi Hendrix Experience, was found dead in a Portland, Ore., hotel Nov. 12.
Mitchell was touring with the "Experience Hendrix Tour," which wrapped its West Coast leg Nov. 7.
Sgt. Brian Schmautz, a Portland police spokesman, told the Oregonian that an employee at the upscale Benson Hotel called police after discovering Mitchell's body. "It was natural causes," Schmautz said, "so we weren't involved beyond that."
Mitchell pioneered a drumming style that would later be known as fusion. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993 as part of the Jimi Hendrix Experience.



I feel very grateful i got to see him couple weeks ago on the "Experience Hendrix Tour" , he looked good, didnt look like he was about to die any time soon...very sad...
