I actually didn't see the first one in theaters because of the way it was promoted made it sound stupid. It wasn't until the 2nd one was about to come out that I decided to watch it. I was quite impressed with not only the original but the sequel as well. Both original concepts that sold the story well. I actually like the 2nd one just a tad more. I would like to see a part 3 if there is one being made.

Like it or not the Hostel franchise has been extremely successful in theaters worldwide and especially on home video. Part 3 will definately happen sooner or later as a direct-to-video sequel, the question is whether Sony or LionsGate will handle it. My guess is Sony since they have really been pushing direct-to-video sequels to movies that didn't need them and didn't even really make money in the first place. I was disappointed with Hostel 1 but was surprised that 2 was better than 1 thanks to its ending, so a third could be interesting especially if someone new handled it and brought new blood to the franchise.

i dont understand the hate Hostel gets from some people. I liked it better than Saw, i didnt even like the first Saw cuz it was BORING but the sequels were better under Darren Lyn Bouseman's direction. I feel Hostel II was even better than the first as well

Saw is probably the best reason for making Hostel 3. I want something else to watch when October rolls around. It is reminds me of Takashi Miike's stuff so it would be disappointing if Eli Roth doesn't direct it.

The biggest problem is there is no way to end this series , theres no killer to kill its an orginization............we could be doomed !!!!!!!! But the ending to 2 was awesome when the kids play soccer with that chicks head. The first 2 were cool I like the torture but this series could go on forever.

First one was a good concept but I think the gringo traveler shenanigans is a played storyline and jumped the shark right around the time Turistas was released. If there's a third Hostel, I'll watch it but I'll die a little inside.

i liked the 2nd better then the 1st iunno y but i dont care for a 3rd as i know roth wont be attached and those are his movies so ppl shouldnt just feel like there should be a 3rd and make a sequal to His movies

I liked the first one. The second one seemed very contribed to me but I like how the guy wanted to kill a woman that looked like wife was pretty good. I can relate. A third one though. Beating a dead horse.
