From what I hear tho, I'm sure I'd love a WWZ movie. Zombie movies in general are my favorite.

Hi read the other day that Brad Pitt had bought the movie rights and intends to produce this. Has anyone else heard this as well? It would be a great one for zombie lovers but after reading the book, which was awesome by the way, it would have to be a long one or else alot left out. Also I wonder what kind of budget he would have. It would be interesting if it was set as happening not past tense. Any ideas....anybody?

one of the best books ive ever read, although I dont see how a movie is going to get everything that happens. It would work better as a series, but still im very excited. Max Brooks who wrote it was on Lost Tapes last night when they did an episode about zombies. It was awesome.

Is Lost Tapes that show where the opening has something along the lines "the following is based on the idea that mythical cryptozological creatures may exsist" or something to that effect? If so I didn't know they did a zombie one that would be awesome

yes its that show. Last night was a new season im assuming. The zombie episode was new, they did a Kraken episode after it. It was alright. Some of the episodes are duds but all in all its a pretty sweet show.

I am a bit wary of Brad Pitt as the lead but it might be okay. Kinda bugs me that he just cast himself in the role.

I like Pitt in some of the work he's done. As far as casting himself goes, well that depends... is he a true fan of the work and just wants to be as much a part of it as possible? He is an actor, maybe he loves to act and that's all there is to it...

The only thing that bugs me is did he even consider anyone else? Don't get me wrong I am still going to watch it and I don't hate Pitt. I just wonder if someone else would have been cast if some other company had done it.
