Writer/producer Paul W.S. Anderson spoke with IGN recently revealing the status of a couple of his upcoming projects. First up is the long-away Castlevania project, where he reveals that due to the writer's strike last year and the sale of Rogue Pictures to Relativity Media that the project has been "derailed."
"We still want to make the movie, but I can't say we're going into production in January or anything like that. It's a project that everybody likes. I love the videogame. I think the script is really strong. Everyone is really enthusiastic about it, but we're still in the process of deciding when the movie gets shot," Anderson explained.
Now due to the SAG Strike, production is on hold until it's resolved. Sylvain White is still attached as director. You can read the rest of the article here.
Anderson also revealed what's happening with Resident Evil 4:
"I'm writing a script right now. The script side is happening," Anderson explained. As for which of his many projects in development goes into production first, the filmmaker said, "It's going to be difficult what's happening when until the whole SAG [strike] thing is resolved. But that's something I'm working on right now. Everyone at [game developer] Capcom has had their input into the idea and they're all very excited. I don't want to tell you what it is but it's very exciting."
