I thought the remake was horrible. I doubt this will be any better. I like the original and I'll just stick with that. I understand Rob Zombie's view on the film which is why I gave it a shot to begin with. If it were made as a prequel only I think it would've done much better. Leading up to the first film but they just took it off the deep end! And I agree the chick who played Laurie was just annoying! Couldn't they do a better casting call than that? I've seen chicks in cheesy porn flicks who act better than that.

Wasn't that bad. You actually got to see, how Michael developed into this emotionless killer. I agree, the original is the best and Donald Pleasence was a genius actor. But, Michael was more realistic in the remake. Not, some slow walking zombie..lol
The rape scenes could've been left out. But. Zombie always seems to throw a few of these, in all his flicks. Whether, Hollywood cuts them out or not, is another thing.
I'll give this one a chance. And this Laurie, wasn't that bad. Even though, Jamie Lee will always be Laurie. Remember, this is a horror movie,people. Bad acting is usually covered up, by numerous brutal murders.
And this remake was a helluva great deal better, than that crappy Halloween 8. Rosenthal screwed 8 up,like he did, the original Halloween 2. Awful scripting and acting. The lovely Tyra Banks was even annoying, at times.

Like i mentioned in the H2 post, lets get this one over with and get started on a new fresh script for H3. Something we all have been wanting.

and my expectations were reached with the remake.

I really, really hate these remakes.

Additionally, I really, really hate the look of the "cracked" mask. It looks so campy/tacky.

I guess I'm one of only a few here that enjoy RZ films. Halloween remake was good, the kitchen scene was a bit over the top but that's RZ's style so it didn't bother me. As for the mask let's wait for a finished version before everybody says they hate it
