Murder-Set-Pieces is a guilty pleasure at best IMO, it is completely derrivative and exploitative, relying solely on the gore and sensationalism and not quality or character development. That being said, it has its place and its audience. The R-rated version should never have come into existence, since it completely removes anything that makes the film worth watching.

I don't know if anyone else got this, but the copy I once owned had terrible audio clipping and shots of static out of nowhere. Did anyone else experience this? I couldn't get through the movie all too well based on how bad my audio was (no matter what tv or sound system it was on).

Watched this one earlier...pretty sick. Death scenes were wicked. Held my interest...barely

Wouldn't give it high praise like some critics have ...i.e. Fangoria.

Been wondering on this solely because it was set in Vegas. Does the city play a role in it at all or was it just a random setting/location they decided to go with.

<~ Went to the same hs as Cerina Vincent. She was a senior when I was a freshman I believe...

Didn't see your question. I would recommend you see it being that you're from Vegas. Don't wanna spoil it.

Like Cata mentioned earlier, I am a fan. To some degree. It's no masterpiece and should only be thought of as you would think of a trashy 70's sexploitation movie. Just sit back and enjoy the ride. There are cool killings and excellent Toetag Pictures effects, and that's all I have ever asked from this film.

But yeah, Nick Palumbo is a major tool. He said he quit the horror business, sold lots of TTP stuff that they personally gave him because they were friends, and also tried to sell both his world rights for Nutbag and Fright Flix's website. And now he's back with "Corpse". I'll watch it, but he's still an ass.

Maybe someone who actually likes the movie and has watched it more than once can give you a better or correct answer (incase mines not). As far as I recall though, Las Vegas didn't have too much to do with the story.

There are a few shots with Vegas in the background, and the amount of prostitution does play into who the killer kill's, but other than that it's just a location. Not completely random, but doesn't impact the story much.

The movie amused me somewhat... some minor little barely noticable details that made me smile...

Like the wet nasty "Schlorp!" sound made when he pulls out of a rape victim... found out later that the "shlorp" sound was captured from some dude eating watermelon... cracked me up.

    Yeah... I'm a sick fucker...

Otherwise most of the truly "SHOCKING" moments of the movie that has given it it's notoriety are nothing that I haven't seen before... when you are a fan of nasty underground horror, there's very little that can shock you... it's all about how it is delivered.

Agreed. I only recommended that he watch it because it is filmed in his home town. I love seeing movies that are filmed in my town, even if they're not the best.
    Always look for people
I know in the background .

I wouldn't be surprised if I'm the only one making films in my home town Not that fun to scout people in the background when watching them then.
