Well after the very spooky and fun blockbuster hit Boogeyman, there have been two sequels to come out on DVD release. I have to say that I enjoyed Boogeyman 2, even though it was basically just a slasher flick, it was still watchable, but with very bad pacing. Now this brings me to a the finale, Boogeyman 3. Now I hope that this is the end of the Boogeyman series, because they all seem to have run out of idea's. This is the worse of them all and not to mentioning very disappointing
The story follow's the Daughter of the Doctor who did in the first, as she is being stalked by the boogeyman herself. So she stays with a friend, who is staying in a dormitory and is the colleges local radio station host, in hopes to have peace and get away from the "boogeyman". But soon the boogeyman comes after her and her friend witnesses her murder by him, but to the other's in the dorm think that it's a suicide, for the simple fact that they didn't see the boogeyman. Now her friend know's the truth and soon she tells her other friends. Then one by one the friends start missing with no clue of where they could be. Now her friend wonder's if she is going insane or is the boogeyman really true? So she sets out a way to stop him.
Now my biggest problem with the film has to be the very aggravating characters, who do the dumbest things, walk into the closet when it opens, instead of running out the room, seeing something in a room and walking into it even when no one responds, staying in a room after you have just saw something run across you, that type of shit. The film does goes back to the first, with it's supernatural roots, but it doesn't succeed as the boogeyman himself is surely in a mask and sometimes it's not obvious until you get close up on him. Mentioning that, the boogeyman is CGI, as in the first.
On the plus side, the film had some decent deaths, but nothing worth mentioning. There where some very good scares and gruesome IMAGES, but I would have like to have seen the deaths. There was one scene where the blood was coming out of the washing machines, and it looked like punch. Seriously! I was pissed by that. Do I think the film could have been a lot creepier if the writers would have tried harder to write a better script and the director could have made a good atmosphere besides a damn college dorm which was seen in ASYLUM.
So as you can see I am very disappointed by this flick and fans of the Boogeyman 1 and 2 will be as well. I give it a 4, it may be kind of low to those who have seen it, but I just hated, and I wanted to much from it. So I say skip it.
