Rambo will return to kick ass and kill more bitches in Rambo V: The Savage Hunt. The storyline takes place in the Pacific Northwest, where Rambo is apparently called in as part of a special ops group to take care of a military experiment gone wrong, which releases some sort of feral beast out in the open. Here's what was reported at AICN:
Next up Rambo VI: Zombie Hunter :mummy:You see, it is set in the Pacific Northwest. Back in the general area where we first were introduced to John. It seems that somewhere in that Area there is a U.S. Military installation that is doing experiments on elite soldiers as part of some sort of program where they're attempting to tap into that SAVAGERY that we have deeply embedded into us. The plan is create brilliantly instinctual killer soldiers that have no qualms about taking life. Sly brought up the ancient Immortals, which were cartoonishly glimpsed in 300. In reality, they were children trained from the time they were infants to kill.
Well as happens with Government Experiments to create the perfect killer - it goes exceptionally well... and then exceptionally badly. And Rambo is brought in with a Black Ops squad ("Like in PREDATOR") to hunt, capture or kill this worse than Rambo killer.

This guy put together a fitting franchise ending sequel in Rambo IMO yet he finds the need for another.
I'm all for it if he can keep it as badass and genuine as Rambo 4 was but if it becomes more by the numbers and out of the element for a Rambo film then I'll probably pass until it hits tv or otherwise.

I like the concept of Rambo going after something more otherworldly this time to break from the norm, yet still keep elements that made the original and previous installment so great.

wow...im just.....wow. I don't know what to say. I mean will I see it? Of course. Its freakin Rambo. But like choptop said. We've went from the treatment of war vets to this?? I feel like Rambo has come full circle. The first movie had a point. Parts 2 and 3 while mindless action movies were fun to watch. And 4 was about a soldier finding redemption in himself and in a world he fills detached from. and finding his way back home. And now he's going to fight genetically altered monsters.
My horror geek wants to like this idea but....I mean come on.

Not everything needs to make sense to be entertaining. There will probably be some sort of deep meaning to all of it though.
