Football's a religion in some of these towns. The school which inspired the book, movie and TV series has a stadium that seats like 20000. And they sell it out nearly every week.

I can't wait for the third season to come out on DVD.

I'm still on edge as to what's gonna happen

Was getting ready to watch a few eps today and noticed on my online guise that the movie was only a few minutes away so I watched it.Glad I did. Great flick.. Billy Bob Thornton was excellent as the head coach of a high school football team. The movie kind of freaked me out because I had no idea that towns like this existed so twisted and focused on football to the point they will close down shop all over town to watch a game. This town in particular, ravaged with poverty seem to have nothing to live for except it's high school football team. The message is clear in this film and it's a good one, that winning is not the most important thing, trying your best is. Great story and even better acting. I recommend this film to everyone, especially the lovers of football. Perfect film in every way. 10/10
