Western Digital TV HD Media Player

I recently bought Western Digital's media player and i am very pleased with my purchase. For those of you who don't know what it is, as it states it is a media player which allows you to play all your downloaded movies directly on your TV in high definition up to 1080p.

It is very easy to use with a menu easy to manage and with the recent software update, it now supports more movie formats and more subtitles for those of you who might need them. It is just that you will also need an extra portable hard disk. I personally got a Western Digital Passport 320 GB. It also comes with a small base for any WD Passport hard disks.

I had downloaded so many movies and series but i just could not watch them on my computer monitor anymore no matter how good the monitor is. I preffered my big screen tv and my living room. I seriously recommend it to anyone who has the same issue as i had. So mainly you can forget all about burning DVDs. The link below offers a good presentation of the product.

Anyone else who might have this ?

Not a big fan of Western Digital, always thought they made short-lasting products, because of the cheap parts they use. This seems like an aight device.

I've always wanted to play .mkv files on my TV, but it's too much trouble to convert it to a format my DVD player recognizes and by then the quality gets downgraded anyway, so it's pointless.

I still stand by my thoughts towards the brand though. Keep us updated if it breaks down or something

Yes, my mistake -- I was actually thinking of a similarly-named company that makes cheap products. However, in my defense, I would state that I have had bad luck with WD hard drives, which is why I use seagate :thumbup3:

Haha. You wish. Although it is too early to tell, but i dont see this baby breaking down or anything like that. Not unless i kick it or it falls off my hands or something. So far it has made me very happy. Those season 2 Dexter episodes are being watched the way they were meant to be watched :thumbup3:
