Just as an addition to programs listed Fright you might want to add Malware Bytes Anti Malware to the list man..It tackles the Antivirus 2009 Malware which is a bitch to get off your system once you get it. Also any of you guys that use toolbars on your browsers, uninstall them because they can cause them to crash. Saw a PC today with Yahoo, Google, and Bing on it...Mofo's wondering why they are getting browser crashes left and right..Just my 2 cents man..

Did a quick update of my initial post, basically just recommended Google Chrome as a browser since Firefox has been lettin' me down lately:

Ever since Firefox has been F'n up a lot on me lately, I've been using Google Chrome for my casual browsing. It remains to be THE fastest browser I've used and splits the memory processes up in your computer, so it's not a huge memory hog like Firefox has been. I'd advise checking this browser out if you want speed.

Google Chrome , been using it every since I've had my pc restored after it crashed. Simple and to the point; gets me to UHM fast!

I tried Chrome when it first came out and wasnt impressed, maybe the later versions have improved...I have noticed Firefox getting rather piggish lately

reset my modum
updated my modum
had a tech come out and adjust my wires
changed all my cables and DSL filter
rebooted PC, ccleaned it, virus scanned and its all clean, my drivers are all up to date

I keep getting ''can't connect DNS server...tried pinging and won't respond''....something to that aspect.
I tried my other pc and its the same problem so its not my computer.

One thing was brought up....the internet speed is too fast for my wires and to downgrade to a slower speed That is not an option for I feel the need for speed to d/l and stream movies
They noticed my IP numbers or something changes I think I need a new modum or internet provider.

Anyone have thoughts on CLEAR? Its wireless and it run like a cellphone on airwaves or something..they say my area is all green so I will have no interuptions. Comcast is not an option they are evil mofos.

could be your modem, do you have it going to a router at all or is it just from the modem to the computer?

Regardless of Comcast being evil, their internet is hella fast and you would be much happier than with that slow ass DSL.

I personally liked Opera the best of all the browsers but they had issues too. Gotta keep firefox so I can rip flv's off of youtube

Try disabling windows firewall. Sometimes the firewall can literally block the internet from staying on. I've had it happen to me once.

And instead of Google Chrome, Fright should be updating the original post with Opera considering it's vastly superior.

Sounds like you pretty much covered everything. If it still happens with a dif comp then its definitely gotta be something on your ISP's end
