Sorority Row (Remake)

"Sorority Row", which is set to premiere on October 2nd, 2009, is a remake of 1983's "The House On Sorority Row".

Josh Stolberg, the writer of the remake, has been answering fans' questions about the movie on his blog and keeping us up to date on what we could expect from the movie and how the filming process is going.

So far, what Josh has been telling us seems very interesting and gave us high hopes for this movie. "Sorority Row" will probably be the best remake of all modern times.:nod:

Hmmm....there is such a thing as a good remake much less a best? Have to wait and see I suppose and keep fingers crossed that they don't screw it up. I'm trying to remember Sorority Row...have to watch it again. Time to dust off the VCR again.

Well it's a possibility that it might be the best. But I do think this remake will be great.

Josh Stolberg says that it'll be really different compared to the original, even though the general idea is still there (a prank goes awry and chaos ensues).

But it's more of a thriller-horror with touches of comedy. Like Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer. He also mentions about the character development and how it's really important. Because if there's no character development, then you won't care if they live or die, and when you don't care for them, the suspense is gone. So they really made sure there's character development in this film.

There's also gonna be nudity (not so much that it's exploiting women), the violence is strong and scary, many intense fighting and chase scenes and most of the action in this film all takes place over one night at the sorority house.

There's also many things he said and overall, from the sound of it, it's gonna be one badass movie.

Why a studio would want to remake an old slasher that was never very popular (and relatively unknown outside of horror fanatic circles) is beyond me. While I do like House On Sorority Row, it's not exactly the most original mind blowing slasher.

makes perfect since to me. I would rather see a remake to something that sucked the first time, try to make it better the second time around. Not that I'm not dying to see the new F13 movie cuz I am. I'm jus sayin, take something that could have been great and try again. As long as its got some good kills and some nudity (come on its a freakin sorority movie) then I'm good.

I love her thats one of the reason i wanna see it and i know she gets killed because she said it in a interview in Canada.
