Horror movie Endings..

I know what kind of endings i enjoy, but I've been curious what everyone else likes to see?

A very bloody ending where everyone dies?
a happy ending where everyone survives?
or a really annoying ending that's been done a billion times where the guy and girl lives happily ever after, etc...

IMO a good horror movie should have a bloody finish, whether it's the lone survivor(s) of the movie getting revenge, or watching people get eaten by zombies works as well. etc,etc,etc

The Eye, the Hong Kong version, has the best ending to any horror movie with the bus...I enjoyed that one the most.

You know, I don't really like when everyone lives "happlily ever after". I get to that point and i'm thinking WTF?

I wouldnt want all movies to end the same, but I would like the majority of them to end with the bloody finish. Maybe have the lone survivor make it all the way until the last minute, and just when you think theyre goin to live, they get hacked.

I hate when the total tool and big chested bimbo he was banging survive. Then I feel like I wasted a couple hours of my life.

Definatly the "everyone dies" ending. That's what horror is, right?

Carpenter was a visionary with his ending to Halloween. It's a shame that it's know copied in every horror movie.

This. Of course some times I do prefer a more pessimistic and/orambigious ending where things are open to my own interpretation. That being said, I prefer them to fit with the story and not just be slapped on.

I'm always fan of a true surprise ending like when I first saw Funny Games. They're great.

I agree with the Jeepers Creepers kind of ending: the one in which the supposed heroe/survivor dies in the last minute.

I like all sorts of endings. I like them to fit the picture. Bloody and everyone butchered, nice. Lone survivor that has be deeply affected mentally by seeing massive amounts of killings, cool. I like that ''oh shit'' moment at the end of a film. I didn't see that coming is always a plus.

when it comes to slasher films I prefer sole survivor endings oppsed to multi-survivor (boyfriend/girlfriend, brother/sister, parent/child). one exception is Hills Have Eyes.

Either the "everyone dies ending" the more brutal the better, or e revenge story ending where the woman (or man, which is rare, and only Misery comes to mind) gets revenge on their captor(s). I love the sheer rage/panic/pure emotion which is evoked by long periods of torture. It's like condensed into 30 seconds of sheer gorey good time.

Trick endings where the "bad guy" gets the upper hand, and the protagonist dies off is always a fun end as well... :mhehe:
