How does everyone feel about "The Gate 3D" remake directed by Alex Winter (Bill from Bill and Ted)?

:karate:I dig 3-D , and The Gate was cool when it came out originaly , but then again I was about 13. So as long as its in 3-D I'm game for it , it could be fun.:karate:

I think Alex will use colorful cgi effects. I only hope not too colorful....
However this is, in my opinion, one of the few movie that really deserves a remake becose current visual effects will make it far better than the original.

I agree but Alex Winter directed Freaked which was fun to watch. But idk about the 3D aspect. I LOVE the original so i have low hopes. If its good I will be very very pleased.

Ill definitely give it a shot but I cant imagine there being anything that Winter can do visually that will top the amazing effects they managed on such a low budget in the original. Tha bar has been set pretty high on the effects side (maybe not so much on the acting), but I wish him the best. I would love to see a revival of The Gate series!

As long as they stay with the ideas from the original and don't trail off the plot too badly like most remakes do, I'll go see it. I loved the original as it was one of the first horror movies I saw as a kid.

I liked it, good 80's flick...kinda corny at times but enjoyable. Would love to find it on DVD.

I loved the gate when I was a little kid. Wow I was 10 when this came out originally. This will be an opening night viewing for me.

I was a bigger fan of Gate 2 personally! Espeically when you go back and rewatch them both now, Gate 1 is kinda lame. Just not scary at all it didnt stand the test of time in my book, a reboot is a good thing for this movie i think!
