1408 was pretty damn good. Don't know if qualifies as a ghost flick because I was never clear on what the evil force in the room was.

I really dislike that movie with a passion.

I don't like ghost movies, they lack scares, action, or gore. Can't think of any that I actually liked..

Oh come on! You mean to tell me you didn't enjoy The Changeling, The Shining, The Sentinel, Amityville, or at least Lady In White as a kid? Ghost stories as so fun, even though a lot of them do lack in the gore department.
I guess cause' I believe in some of that stuff perhaps that's what makes it more entertaining and scary for me...

I REALLY want to see Paranormal Activity. But can't since Dreamworks is holding back the release of the original for a remake, so we will never get to see the light of day of the movie until they do the remake (which I find very idiotic and unfair, should release as it is. It's perfect already.).

Good one from above. Carnival of Souls is my favorite oldie, very unique.
Also Devils Backbone and Stir of Echoes are very good movies.

-The Haunting '63 is an underated CLASSIC!!! I wish they still made movies like this.
-The Innocents - There's one scene involving a window that actually made me jump
- The Others - Nicole Kidman's last great performance
- Rose Red - Coulda been better but there's some great stuff there.
- The Blair Witch Project - I know alot of people hate it but I still think it's a modern horror classic.
- The Amityville Horror (Orig. and Remake)
- House On Haunted Hill (remake)
- Rebecca - Not sure it really counts, if you've seen it you'll know what I mean and hopefully you'll think it's one of Hitchcock's best as well

Yes,Silent hill was good and also Carnival of Souls.I just love the oldies.There are a lot of older supernatural flicks from the U.K i remember from t.v that would still standup today.It's just finding them......
