(HBO) Succession

I decided to give this HBO show a check since it won the emmy for best TV drama and since HBO is letting people stream some of their shows/movies for free this month now seemed the best time. I'm glad I did, because it turned out to be a pretty well written drama overall. It focuses on a rich family that are all a part of a large media corporation and the father is at the head of it. Problem is the father is dealing with health issues and who takes over after comes into question. Lots of interesting backstabbing and greed from all parts play into the show, from the close family to colleagues.

Like I said it's a well written show that offers a lot of complex characters along with the baggage and drama that each have. What surprised me is it's also funny at times, with a lot of quick whips and smart dialogue from certain characters. If you've seen the show Billions it has a lot of similarities to that as far as greed and shady deals go. Highly recommended if you're in search of an interesting new drama. [Solo]

Late to the game, but so far it's well worth it. I just finished season 1, and it exceeded my expectations on every level. Everything is solid on all fronts, from acting to the writing, to the production. No weak links at all IMO. Thanks to Wooden for posting about it recently because i don't remember anything about the show at all.

It's very addictive story... and it's a bit like watching those old Drivers Ed. saftey crash videos except the cars have been substituted for the human condition.

A somewhat fitting end to the series. The backstabbing continued until the very end and Kendall finally showed his true colors. I think the thing I was most surprised about what how Tom turned out in the end. And Greg

Great series overall. 8/10

Yeah watched that last night.

Finally got the series finished, and was pretty impressed. The writing was crazy good. Nearly all of these people were douche bags, and thought it was fitting how everything wrapped up. I believe the show is a lot closer to reality than many people would like to believe. Easily one of the better series out there.
