Plot:
A low budget director has made a movie about a witch, that supposedly is based on true events that happened 300 years ago. After a screening of this film, people start dropping dead one by one. A girl that was got hypnotized on the party after the screening is the main suspect of everyone involved, but is it really her, or has the witch came back?

Our thoughts:
The story is a good mix of a good ol' slasher and a typical 60's through 80's occult/supernatural/witch film. It starts off showing scenes from the film within the film, and I think this was the right choice. Not only do we know the witch better than we would've if we only heard them talk about her, but we also get a taste of the blood that'll follow, which obviously keeps us interested. As soon as we're back to the real world again, the film switches to a "who's-the-killer" slasher flick, and stays there for a good part of the film. Even though both the audience and the characters in the film always suspect a person, there's still some mystery to it all. If it's the person we suspect, is it her doing the killing? Or is she still hypnotized from earlier in the film? Perhaps she's possessed by the witch from the film. "Terror" is very typical in many ways, but it still has some elements that makes it stand out alot, and the characters are both well-played and believable so even though we're presented to clichés, we're hooked.

My main problem with this film was the knife murders. It always showed the knife going into the victim in a close angle, but it clearly never really got in there, so it mostly just looks like the killer is doing some stupid stabbing just to irritate the person through poking. Not a big flaw or anything, but it's something that can drive you mad. It could so easily have been fixed by just not showing the stabbing, or perhaps used a cut-off knife that's shoved deep into the person. Oh well..

It's definitely a film for the fans of the 70's and 80's slasher and occult/supernatural film fans. It's not for all slasher fans though. A huge fan of modern slashers like "I Know What You Did Last Summer" will probably hate this, 'cause it's so much more than just murders. It's a very eerie film that uses sounds and good lighting to help tie the entire film together. It leaves more to the imagination than a regular slasher, almost like a giallo, except I didn't feel it really stepped into that swamp. Overall, pretty good ride.

Positive things:
- There's a "Thriller: A Cruel Picture" poster in the film. How amazing is that?
- Good soundtrack.
- Believable characters.

Negative things:
- The stabbing shots that mostly looks like poking.
