Ryan Reynolds gives the most assuring news possible:
"Well, I'm intimately involved with it. We're just trying to break a story right now and figure out who the villain is going to be and all that stuff. But, it's going to be just like the comic books. I'm gonna have a messed up face and you may see some flashbacks of Wade earlier in his life, but primarily what you see is what you get in the comics and that's the goal. And there is no better place to draw material from then the comics which are incredible."

I hope that's true but somehow I very much doubt that.

He's got no reason to lie. Especially after everyone got pissed off from the Deadpool they gave us. Fans would turn on him if he promised such an ordeal without following through with it.
Speaking of which, this Weapon XI thing isn't that bad anymore to me. Think about it. Weapon XI is a failed Weapon X test subject, just like Deadpool is from the comics. It's sorta an accurate origin for him. As long as those blades and optic blasts are gone, I'm just fine with the character. You can say that the blades weren't strong enough, considering the bonding process wasn't finished. The blasts can be gone lost to some damage to his brain from the decapitation.

Wise man once say- "He's got no reason to lie. Especially after everyone got pissed off from the Deadpool they gave us. Fans would turn on him if he promised such an ordeal without following through with it."
He never said that Deadpool would be just like the one we all know and love during the filming of Wolverine. He was pretty pissed about it himself. It's not like they can't change up the character for the spin off.
We're just trying to get it right. There's so many variables to play. It's tough because when you have a character like Deadpool, to the greatest extent of your power, you want to bring as much authenticity to that character as possible. And by "authenticity," I don't mean that you'd want to make him somebody that you'd have a Starbucks coffee with, I mean that you want to make him as close to the comics as possible. And there's nothing that I wouldn't do to make sure that ends up on film, but sometimes things are out of your control, things that you can't change. But I'm really happy, in these early talks, that the studio is as obsessed with making it as close to the comic book source material as possible. And that's all I really needed to hear. Cuz I will husk-f*@k a herd of cattle to bring Wade Wilson to life as the real deal.
Without saying too much, I can't imagine that there's gonna be any tie-in to the Wolverine movie at all.
Absolutely! That's the reason to do it…There's nothing else like that in movies, or comic books, for that matter. I would like to make him self-aware; I'd like to have a bit of a pop-culture air going on throughout the film. I mean, the greatest villain in a Deadpool comic is Deadpool. There's a lot you can do there, but you've gotta ask, "Who's the boss? Who's the guy he's going up against?" But it's breaking the fourth wall; it's including all those things in a way that works, but it's not nearly as hard as it sounds. It can really be done. And people tend to overlook the greatest resource we have, which is the comic book. If it can be done in the comic, it can be done on film in a way that's just as much fun to watch for people who know nothing about the character than for people who are obsessed with the character.
There's so much to do with a movie like this, so much you can do, and I'm just trying to figure out a way to structure all of those things around kicking Captain America in the nuts.
I have two dramas – one in the summer, one in the fall – and then, hopefully, after that, we'll get to tackle this crimson f*@ker.
If they can imagine if one of them were given the opportunity to do a Deadpool movie, just imagine that's what's happening. Just to have faith in that. And to have faith in the studio. It's hard for fans to do that, but I feel like they really want to do an authentic Deadpool movie….He's like Jason Bourne meets Phantom of the Opera by way of Caddyshack. And that, right there, is a wholly originally character, and that's what excites the dark overlords who fund this film. And me.

SOURCEIn an exclusive interview with MTV, Ryan Reynolds has confirmed that he and the movie studio are as committed as possible to making the solo Deadpool movie, and that Deadpool will be scarred and wear the Deadpool costume from the comic.
“He’s going to be the Merc with the Mouth, [we’re going to give] all those answers that everyone wants,” Reynolds explained. “He’s going to have the scarred-up face, he’s going to be in the suit — and, it’s going to be incredible.”

SourceDonner was playing her cards pretty close to the vest, but she did let loose with one tidbit: Deadpool will likely be a reboot of the character from his appearance in Wolverine.
"We'd kind of reboot it and make it the Deadpool that's in the comics," the producer told us, while adding that Wolverine costar Ryan Reynolds is still set to reprise the role despite his involvement with Warner Bros./DC's Green Lantern film.

I just saw the wolvie movie and i thought the dead pool portrayal was just fine.
Except for the retractable sword blades. How the hell does he bend his arms when they're retracted??? Otherwise, they gave him his scars and his regenerative abilities. All they need to loose is the retractable blades and optic blasts. Both can be easily done. As mentioned before, brain damage from the battle can fix the blasts and the control Stryker had on him from the implant.
