Martyrs spoilers

I wanted to write a review for this film, but I felt that it wasn't necessary.

But to say the least, Martys was a weird, crazy, brutal, insane, and frightening ride. When I say frightening, I mean by the theory that is in this movie about Martyrs, which are: People who are tortured and endure great pain because or for a belief.

At the end, the more I thought about, the more it got to me, and I realize that Martys is going to raise questions as well as a lot of controversy among many people.

But seriously,

could we witness what is on the other side if we are tortured?

Thats what it seems like they are saying.

Now, as far as Pascal Luigier being the guy to helm the Hellraiser remake, the answer is definitely NO, I think the directors of Inside. Alexandre Bustillo and Julian Murray, are best for that.

One more thing, I got the movie R rated (damn video stores!!!!!!), so did they really show this,

, but do to me not liking this much, because I wanted more from it than what I got, and because of the wacked out reason for torturing innocent people, I must give this a 7/10.

Would this fit into a religious horror category? Just asking.

Yeah I saw the R rated version, and I am a little surprised that it was R rated an not NC-17. It's a very brutal film. I am very interested to see how this and the unrated versions differ. The ending is open to interpretation.

I was shocked by it as well, especially when they really took things a little too far. But with that lack "good" horror movies we have today, I guess I was expecting too much.

I forgot to post this, but I did like the kind of supernatural aspect it took in the beginning.

i loved this fim it was nice to see a film that didnt stick to one genre and the bit you were talking about i didnt see it happening but i dont think you needed to and thats comming from someone who likes the sickest films i can find

An elite group of socialites creating a secret club who torture young women to satisfy their curiosity about true martyrdom and an afterlife is a wicked concept. Seeing it done so well on the screen was not an easy watch. Like not being able to turn your head away from a horrible accident on a highway.

Hostel gave me a similar feeling only not as intense.

Martyrs in unforgiving and just flat out brutal.

(French horror is nasty...makes me wonder what the hell is in the water over there in France.)

This film was very well done. Had me feeling uneasy which is hard to do.

the green shit she had to eat almost made me throw up, Looked like baby food.When he uppercutted her, ouch, made my eyes water.

But I dont like fucken with baby food. And alot of the things we give sick beardes or uros is green baby food. I almost throw up all the time.
