I must say that I disagree on that point, I think the sequel was a bit better than this one.

I agree. I actually like the parts, where the 2 main characters just visited the fair, etc, whereas most people found them to be boring. They were there to prepare you for THAT ending.

The scene, which has always stuck with me in Nekromantik is when Rob goes to the cemetery with the hooker. When she is in an animated state, he can't get hard to engage in sexual intercourse. But as soon as she's dead his "thing" gets hard as fast as lightning and off he goes :elstare:

Looking at this thread again I totally do not understand how this movie can be hated. Also, why start a thread if you do not love the movie is way beyond me. Maybe it was for attention seeking or something.

I guess deep and meaningful movies with awesome visuals aren't for everyone.

Yes, this movie is brilliant. The way it looks, the music, it fits together to make a masterpiece. 10/10 film.

That is cool, we like similar stuff as well as totally opposite things as well...that is life, each to their own in the end.

This is a movie I watched on my own as I don't want other people's negativity to get in the way while I watch it. I know if I view this with Dad he MAY start up the comment factory and really piss me off to the point I would either say "shut the fuck up" or just turn it off

Nekromantik is a great movie that was far more appreciated when it first came out for one main reason. I had to work to see this film back then! Not like today where everything is instant gratification and disposable. It took me months to track down a trace of this film back in the early 90's. And once I got my hands on a copy I enjoyed it for the sick fuck it was because back then no one else went that far. It didn't have to come close to the brilliant AfterMath because it was years before it.
