The original post for this thread was 2009.............wow, Only 24 years after the movie was done they are doing a remake, They should be shot, stuffed, and mounted.............way to fucking soon!!


I swear they should set a rule that no movie(especially great ones like Fright Night) should be allowed to be remade unless it's been around for about 50 years, That way you won't piss anyone off that remembers when it came out and if you do then you are really fucking old.

The trailer actually looked pretty decent. That Peter Vincent poster looked atrocious though. That may be a killing point depending on how it's used.

On a side note, I remember when Fright Night and Return of the Living Dead came out practically back to back way back when. I hope ROTLD isn't next on the remake list.

Collin Farrel seems like he's having fun with this so I'll check it out out of curiosity but did anybody else get that "disturbia with a vampire" vibe from this trailer. I do hope from more out of the second trailer. This trailer didn't really show the comedic edge of the original movie. I hope thats intact with this flick.

I dread to think how they'll fuck this one up? Its a classic that needs the right treatment but that remains to be seen. Some remakes are ok, some just make me feel sick!
