I am not a fan of this mediocre movie so I didn't bother with a lengthy reply. Your Suspiria thread is a different matter, I already responded to that as i feel it a worthy film for discussion. As for 'Carrie' I don't think there were any Oscar caliber performances in it. I am in 100% agreement with Titano on the opening scene and the finale was great, everything in between was not interesting though.

I will also mention how laughable it is that your favorite horror film was directed by Brian De Palma and not Romero or Carpenter. Who you boast about with that screen name. Presumably they are your favorite directors but none of their films claim that top tier spot

As for my screen name. I AM a Romero and Carpenter fan. FAN is the operative word here.It doesnt mean that I have to choose one of there movies to be my #1 movie. I am also a fan of Fulci's and Argento's...but I dont have to pick one of there movie's to be my alltime fave.
