Here's yet another Crash-esque drama that links several lives together by certain key events, all of which revolve around US citizenship. Not a bad flick, however it was missing a lot of drama and potential emotional impact films like Crash and Amores Perros were able to deliver with great ease.
The cast was aight, nothing special, to be honest. Harrison Ford and maybe a few others were good, the rest were okay. The stories were all interesting, but since we switch around characters so frequently, we're not able to really grow attached to'em as much we could have.
However, I heard that might've been the fault of producer Harvey Weinstein, who apparently wanted director Wayne Kramer to trim like 20-minutes of character development. Either way, I enjoyed the flick; it's interesting, and the stories were decent. Not an entirely bad way to waste a couple hours.
