The werewolf change scene in this movie totally surpasses the werewolf change in the New Moon trailer. When did Am. Werewolf in London come out? '82, '83? New Moon is almost laughable.

I wish there were more werewolf movies, and good ones at that! Dog Soldiers was pretty good and I enjoyed Bad Moon, even though I know that's questionable. I can't say I'm interested at all in the Underworld movies. Are there any other werewolf movies worth watching that I might be missing?

'Silver Bullet' is excellent but i'm certain you have already seen that
There is a real lack of good werewolf films and I have always wondered what it is about them that is so hard to do right. My general guess would be the expensive SFX, surely the storyboard can't be that problematic...

Not sure if you've seen 'Waxwork' but it has one of the coolest werewolf segments around. The whole movie is a great nod to the genre and offers up some of everything, just make sure you're seeing the unrated version, the R rate cut has significantly less gore.
'The Beast Within' isn't a werewolf movie but it is about an ugly shape shifter.

'Project Metal Beast' is a B movie but it has Kan Hodder playing a Steel Skinned Lycan. Pretty slow movie though..

Silver Bullet was so awesome, gotta love Gary Busey! Childhood favourite.
I forgot about Project Metal Beast. The last 20 minutes make that movie. If only they utilized that more throughout the film it would have rocked so hard.
Have Waxwork but never watched it, I will def. check it out. I also like the old Waldemar Daninsky/ Paul Naschy films. So cheesy but so fun.

    Hahahahahahaha Naschy :mhehe:

Waxwork is a fantastic flick I think you'll really enjoy it, unlike alot of films it makes the most of it's budget
I wish someone would do a werewolf version of 1982's Cat People, another awesome underrated film.

The Howling 4 is on the low end of ok, it's basically a remake of the first, or of the novel if you prefer. The werewolves themselves were fantastic, the film itself is another story :nono:

Howling 4....is that the one where some girl rents a cabin with her husband who looks like Chris Benoit and then he turns into a werewolf at the end and goes crazy? I think there was a nun thrown in for good measure as well.

I really like Big Bad Wolf, pretty good for a new movie.

Dark Wolf had Kane Hodder again and a great lesbo scene...though not much else.

I think you're overrating waxwork a little bit, it's a fun movie but nothing incredible.

Howling 4 was decent actually. That werewolf is fucking insane. If only it had more screen time.

Wolfen was a kick ass book, but the movie disappointed on all levels. It's a quick read but it's ultra gory and highly engaging. That would have been a phenomenal movie if they had more menacing wolves. They looked like my old dog. :shakehead:
